Việc thử nghiệm, cài đặt các chương trình quá nhiều có thể khiến hệ thống ngày một chậm chạp đi. Một trong những giải pháp đơn giản và hiệu quả là chống phân mảnh cho đĩa cứng qua chương trình Defraggler. Ngay sau khi cài đặt và kích hoạt, từ giao diện làm việc chính của chương trình nó sẽ liệt kê tất cả các ổ đĩa có trên hệ thống. Bạn muốn thực hiện ngay việc chống phân mảnh cho ổ đĩa nào thì chỉ cần click chuột vào ổ đĩa tương ứng đấy, rồi bấm vào menu Action và chọn Defrag drive sau đó chờ cho quá trình chống phân mảnh được thực hiện.


Ngoài ra tại menu Action, bạn cũng có thể bấm vào tuỳ chọn Defrag Folder để thực hiện việc chống phân mảnh chỉ định trên một thư mục chọn lọc có trên máy, hay tuỳ chọn Defrag Files để thực hiện trên một files chỉ định. Với cách làm này, bạn sẽ tiết kiệm được nhiều thời gian.


Chương trình cũng cung cấp thêm chức năng dò tìm những file, thư mục bị phân mảnh và đưa chúng vào những danh sách cần được “xử lý” nếu bạn không biết chính xác nguyên nhân khiến cho hệ thống bị trì trệ, nhưng lại không muốn thực hiện việc chống phân mảnh trên cả một phân vùng vì sợ tốn thời gian.


Để khai thác chức năng này, từ giao diện làm việc chính của chương trình, bạn hãy click chuột vào ổ đĩa tương ứng cần dò tìm và bấm vào tuỳ chọn Analyze. Đợi quá trình kiểm tra hoàn tất kèm theo một bảng danh sách file cần xử lý, bạn chỉ cần bấm dấu kiểm vào vị trí tên file hay thư mục tương ứng (file sẽ được hiển thị chi tiết kèm theo thông tin và đường dẫn của file) rồi bấm vào tuỳ chọn Defrag để bắt đầu chống phân mảnh trên các files chọn này.

· Defraggler was written in the same compact architecture as other Piriform products (CCleaner and Recuva). This results in a compact single EXE application, which can be copied to a thumbdrive and then used whenever you need it, without a complex installation process. The EXE itself is less than 1MB!

Vista Support:

· Defraggler supports all OSs released since Windows 2000, this includes Windows 2000, 2003, XP and Vista. Although 64-bit support is not included in this version, we are working on compatibility, so it will be available soon! Additionally Defraggler supports both NTFS and FAT32 file systems.

Locate Files on the Drive:

· After analysis Defraggler lists all the fragmented files on the drive. Selecting one or many will highlight their location on the disk. Allowing you to visually see the location of files on the disk.
